Garban Tarazi was a Lebanese artist who was born in 1944 and died in 2010. He was one of the most important artists who worked with geometry and a pioneer contemporary artist known for his use of vibrant colors. Tarazi avoided all forms of emotional expression in favor of focusing on the theoretical aspects of art. The artworks shown above are examples of Trazai's use of various bright colors and abstract geometric shapes. Furthermore, Tarazi employs the overlapping technique in these paintings, with some of the shapes overlapping the lines. The use of these different shades of color gives the paintings a sense of movement. He focuses on creating shapes that look like they are in sync with the other shapes, hence the idea of movement in these works of art, he uses different colors for the shapes inside the painting and a thin black line to contour the shapes giving them a bigger effect.
